Nuwakot Palace Complex is part of the Tentative list of Nepal in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Nuwakot Palace Complex comprises a group of temples and shrines built in the Malla style of architecture. Its hilltop location suited the construction of a fort to protect the entrance to the Kathmandu Valley. The palace is seven storeys tall. It was built in the 18th century. Another notable part of the complex is the Bhairab Temple.
